Who Are We?
The LUCY team is filled with the most amazing people, but for now meet the two who started it all.
Co-Founder
Roey Nickelsberg, Ph.D.
Roey is an Israeli archaeologist and Explorers Club Fellow. He is one of the select few archaeologists in Israel to receive the Israel Antiquities Authority's excavator certificates for both terrestrial and maritime archaeology. Roey has led numerous projects, most notably the recent underwater archaeological excavation at the Habonim submerged village in Israel. He has published multiple scientific papers in prestigious journals that have gained the interest of media outlets such as Newsweek in the article Archaeologists Find Prehistoric Settlement 'Surprisingly' Survived Crisis, amongst others. His Ph.D. research earned him the prestigious Nathan Rotenstreich Scholarship for Outstanding Ph.D. Students in the Humanities.

Oded Lahav-Oz
Oded is a leading corporate M&A lawyer, acknowledged by Legal500, and is the founder of Oz & Associates Law Firm which focuses on corporate, venture capital, and commercial law. Oded was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 2007and was an associate for several years at Herzog, Fox & Neeman, Israel's largest and most prestigious law firm. Later, Oded became an associate and a partner in other leading firms in Israel and founded Oz & Associates.
In 2020, Oded and his practice were also awarded by Acquisition International in their sixth annual legal awards as the "Best Boutique Corporate Financing Law Firm" in Israel.
